AFTER DARK: MACKENZIE TRAN Quartet featuring Dean Thiessen, Emilio Suarez & Seth Kitamura

Mackenzie Tran is a vocalist, pianist and educator residing on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. She holds a BEd from UBC and a BMus from Capilano University. Mackenzie is excited to be joined by Dean Thiessen (p), Emilio Suarez (b), and Seth Kitamura (d), along with a few special guests, to share an evening of treasured standards from the Black American Music tradition, as well as specially selected pieces from other genres.
