Amphibioux came together through synchronicity and hope. Seeking out connection and healing, a group of musicians happened upon each other and started jamming. Charged with the electric energy of human connection, the Amphibians were brought to mellifluous wetlands fertile with harmony and rhythm. Drawing from the roots of choro, forró, samba, baião, bossa nova and jazz, we play to honor the musical giants that came before us, while creating music and moments to decorate time. The foundation of this music will be cooked by your classic cozinha of drum/percussion, piano and upright bass. Adding the spices to sprinkle on the groove will be the lyrical trombone. Venha pra celebrar a música brasileira!
With Julia Farry – bass, Choenden Kyirong – trombone, Tiago Cavalcanti – percussion/drums, Mauricio Zani – keys and John Nicholson – reeds
