Since moving to Canada 4 years ago, and graduating from the Jazz program at Capilano University, Arvind Ramdas has been one of the busiest drummers in Vancouver, having played with some of the leading figures of Vancouver / Canadian Jazz of the present time in Steve Kaldestad, Bill Coon , Brad Turner, Chris Davis, Campbell Ryga, John Gross, and many more.
He now makes a return to Frankie’s Jazz Club as part of the Infidels Frankie’s After Darks show leading his own special trio and for a special occasion i.e Arvind Ramdas trio plays Ahmad Jamal.
The trio consists of Brad Turner on piano, David Caballero on bass and Arvind Ramdas on drums & cymbals. This a night of celebration as the trio will be paying respect to the life and music of Ahmad Jamal.
