AFTER DARK: CHRIS GESTRIN TRIO with André Lachance & Dylan van der Schyff

Vancouver-based pianist Chris Gestrin is unquestionably one of the major jazz talents in the country and is in high demand as a musician, composer, and producer/engineer. With an ear for texture and subtlety, Gestrin also swings hard and is equally comfortable playing straight-ahead jazz and free improv. His trio, with bassist André Lachance and drummer Dylan van der Schyff, first started performing together back in 1997 and have since developed a unique, and almost telepathic group voice showcasing a high level of musical communication and interactivity. Due to Dylan’s re-location to Australia several years ago, the group has not performed for quite sometime and this will be a very exciting re-union performance not to be missed!
