Ilhan Saferali is a Canadian musician currently based out of New York City. After making a name for himself as a promising young talent on the Vancouver Jazz scene in his late teens, Ilhan moved to New York to study Jazz performance at The New School and develop his professional/artistic career. Ilhan is a trumpet player, pianist and composer who has worked and studied with many Jazz greats such as Reggie Workman, Jean Michel-Pilc, Jimmy Owens, Allison Miller, Neil Swainson, Brad Turner, Christine Jensen and many more. Ilhan will be bringing a swinging quartet to Frankie’s After Dark with repertoire paying homage to the great jazz lineage with compositions by Thelonious Monk, Billy Strayhorn, Cole Porter and others.
