Longtime collaborators Chris and Bernie create ephemeral acoustic improvisations based on the Japanese aesthetic principle of shibui. Performance highlights include the Vancouver International Jazz Festival and Powell Street Festival. Their debut self-titled recording garnered a nomination for the Western Canadian Music Award for Jazz Artist of the Year in 2016.
