Vancouver-based pianist Chris Gestrin is unquestionably one of the major jazz talents in the country and is in high demand as a musician, composer, and producer/engineer. With an ear for texture and subtlety, Gestrin also swings hard and is equally comfortable playing straight-ahead jazz and free improv. In celebration of Resonance Records release of Bill Evans Live at Ronnie Scott’s, Chris will be joined by bassist André Lachance and drummer Joel Fountain to pay tribute to the late sixties trio lineup of Bill Evans, which featured Eddie Gomez and Jack DeJohnette.
