Bassist Tom Wakeling’s “North by Northwest” embraces jazz’ past, present, and future,
with a great chemistry and an adventurous, hard-swinging style; featuring acclaimed artists John Gross and Mike Allen on saxophones, Miles Black on piano, and Dave Robbins on drums.
For over four decades, Tom Wakeling has put his bass to work with jazz greats such as Arturo Sandoval, Lee Konitz, Mel Torme, Benny Golson, James Moody, and Herb Ellis. Wakeling has also worked with some of the most significant rhythm section players of our time, including Albert “Tootie” Heath, Lewis Nash, Mickey Roker, Butch Miles, Grady Tate, Dave Frishberg, Bill Mays, Roger Kellaway, and Art Lande.
