Tenor saxophonist Jerry Cook, a staple of the Vancouver blues and roots music scene for over 30 years (Powder Blues,Colin James,Jim Byrnes…),has put together a jazz quartet to feature soulful standards,ballads and originals. Influences include Stanley Turrentine and Gene Harris. The Quartet will be recording it’s first album (on Cellar Live) shortly after this Frankie’s Jazz Club debut. With special guest David Sikula on guitar, Chris Gestrin on piano, John Lee on bass and Jesse Cahill on drums
