TEN PENNY TRIO

The Ten Penny Trio The Ten Penny Trio is based out of East Vancouver; situated on the unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and Sel̓íl̓witulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. The trio performs both original material by its band members, and compositions from the canon of the great African-American composers/improvisers of the 20th century, such as Herbie Nichols, Thelonious Monk, and Ornette Coleman. Noah Franche-Nolan (Piano), Arvind Ramdas (Drums), and David Caballero (Bass), make up this collective ensemble. Together, they form a unique, energetic, and hard hitting sound on the bandstand.
